Hampton Mosaic Festival coming Saturday, April 22, 2023!
Mill Point Park, 100 Eaton St, Hampton, Downtown Hampton

The City’s first festival of the season in 2023 will be the new “Hampton Mosaic Festival: A Celebration of Culture, History and the Arts.” Combining the best elements of the Hampton History Museum’s Heritage Day and the City’s International Children’s Festival as well as Hampton Clean City Commission’s Earth Day Festival, our vision is to celebrate the diverse history and cultures found in Hampton and around the world.  A visual feast of color will greet everyone through dance, music, visual art, storytelling, demonstrators, food, cultural crafts and unique vendors in our world market – all curated to create a sense of belonging. The impact of our natural environment on our culture, way of life and planet will be prominently featured by exhibitors from the Hampton Clean City Commission in honor of Earth Day. This is a special partnership with the Hampton History Museum, PR&LS Special Events, and the Hampton Clean City Commission, Hampton Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, as well as additional support from Hampton Arts and the Fort Monroe Authority’s Museums, Education and Interpretation Department.

The festival will be held Saturday, April 22, 2022, 10am-5pm.  The event will include interactive public art elements where festival-goers can contribute to larger art installations focusing on the environment and the planet, and where a number of demonstrations by unique, cultural artists from around the world can be seen.  The festival will be free and open to the public. The Hampton Mosaic Festival is designed for family and friends of all ages. We encourage everyone to proudly wear their cultural attire, whatever that may be.
