Hampton Horror Tours Acting Workshop & Audition
Thursdays, September 14 & 21, 6 pm

Join playwright and director Marie St. Clair to learn skills and gain confidence to portray historical characters in a theatrical and convincing way. Whether you have had no acting experience, or are just starting out on your acting career, this workshop will prepare you to present tales of mystery and the macabre from Hampton’s storied past to groups on Hampton Horror Tours October 26-30 at 6:30 and 8 pm.

From the tour director Marie St. Clair
It’s that time of year that we start preparing for ScareActors to perform during the Hampton Horror Walking Tours. We will be holding two special workshops on September 14 and 21 to learn the art of Scare acting, which is the art of becoming a character in our spooky experience!

The workshop will teach actors the skills needed to perform an effective monologue and learn the artful way to frighten unsuspecting guest.   We are looking for people of all races, genders, and abilities.

Experience is not needed to attend the workshop, just have the desire to perform, wear scary makeup, and share the stories of these unique characters that are connected to Hampton History. Some walking will be involved on the actual tour. Auditions will be held after the workshops, but no need to fear, you will learn all you need to know to become an exciting and memorable ScareActor and share the history of Hampton which continues to haunt us!
