[ARCHIVED] Economic Development welcomes Altair to city

May 6, 2014 - Hampton's Office of Economic Development welcomes Altair to the city on Friday, May 9 with a reception at the National Institute of Aerospace, 100 Exploration Way. The welcome starts at 10 a.m with a talk about simulation and the creative process by Altair's CEO and CTO.

A privately-held company with more than 2,000 employees worldwide, Altair recently agreed to acquire EM Software & Systems Inc.,also at 100 Exploration Way. EM Software distributes electromagnetic simulation tools. Altair provides computer-aided engineering and high performance computer software to clients, including government agencies, aerospace leaders and the automotive industry.
