April 15, 2014 – Pastor? Youth worker? Community organizer?

Do you know somebody who has had a positive impact on diversity and inclusion in the City of Hampton? If you do, tell us what makes them special. Hampton’s Citizens’ Unity Commission is seeking nominations for its 2014 Unity Awards.

The awards recognize individuals, initiatives, organizations, and businesses that have had a positive impact on diversity and inclusion in Hampton. Winners last year included area religious leaders, an elementary school teacher, and the president of Versability Resources, formerly the ARC of the Virginia Peninsula.

Applications for nominees can be found online (see link below). Get more information about the Commission at www.hampton.gov/unity

The deadline for receiving nominations is May 15, 2014. Awardees will be recognized at special Awards Ceremony and Reception on Thursday, June 12, 2014.
