[ARCHIVED] Children's Hospital opens new health center in Hampton

June 2, 2014 - Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters has opened a new health center in Hampton that offers a full range of diagnostic testing, therapies and sports medicine rehabilitation for children.

According to CHKD, the new center at 421 Butler Farm Road also brings physical, occupational and speech therapy and sports medicine physical therapy to patients on the Peninsula.

This is the health system's 34th location and is part of CHKD's stated commitment to provide convenient access to specialized pediatric care for the nearly 500,000 children in Hampton Roads and surrounding regions.

Established in 1961 as Norfolk City Union of the King’s Daughters, CHKD is now a comprehensive system of medical facilities dedicated to children with serious illness and complex conditions and injuries.
