A 6,650 square foot, air conditioned gymnasium (dedicated to former Recreation Director Charlie Badger), featuring a basketball court, 2 volleyball courts, and an 8-foot perimeter walking path. League play, open basketball and volleyball, camps, clinics, and a walking club, will be some of the many and varied activities offered in the gym.
A 2,200 square foot fitness room with free weights, machine weights, and cardiovascular equipment.
A 1,800 square foot multipurpose room for yoga, dance, aerobics, and a variety of fitness, wellness, and enrichment activities.
A community room with 1,200 square feet of space for birthday parties, receptions, community meetings, classes, and other activities.
A 1,200 square foot lobby and casual lounge featuring comfortable furniture, tables, and a raised bench in front of the windows for meetings, hanging out with friends, or people watching.
Hampton's first indoor climbing wall, a 9-meter by 9-meter rock surface wall, with nine possible top rope routes that will accommodate 6 climbers at a time. Perfect for experienced climbers, as well as first timers at a birthday party.

Center ID's
All participants aged 6 and up need an ID card for all programs. All visitors need a visitor's pass and will need to pay $5 per day.
History
In October 2000, the firm of Hayes, Seay, Mattern and Mattern, Inc. was hired to design Hampton's next community center. The 24,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility is located on the grounds of Lindsay Middle School. The center incorporates many of the features identified in the District 10 Needs Assessment Study.
Community and private groups may use Hampton Parks and Recreation Department facilities when, they are not scheduled for use by any Department of the City of Hampton. To ensure the availability of rooms, any user requesting more than a single reservation may be granted a facility use permit for no more than 15 consecutive uses.
