Gosnold's Hope Park is the second largest developed park in the City of Hampton, Gosnold’s features nine picnic facilities, 16 RV/camper sites, restrooms, a public boat ramp with kayak launch area, a fitness trail, athletic fields that support football, baseball and soccer, and a multi age group children’s playground and fitness area with special needs accommodations.
16 Site Campground
This area is designed for RV or tow behind camper use only. Tent camping is not permitted in the park. Campsites are available on a first come, first served basis—no reservations accepted. Campers can stay no more than 14 consecutive days and must observe a 30 day absence between stays. The $31.80 (tax included) per night fee includes electrical and water hook-up, access to a shower and bathroom facility, and on site sewer dump.
9 Picnic Shelters
Shelters are available for reservation for private functions by contacting any Parks and Recreation office. Reservations must be made in person. Permits for events involving amplified music, inflatable toys, ponies or other such entertainment may be obtained and must be approved through the Special Events office in City Hall. Shelters are appointed with charcoal grills and picnic tables. Seating estimates reflect the manufacturer’s estimate for persons at the table and are not a guarantee.

Boat Ramp and Kayak Launch
Are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week at no charge to the user. Lighted parking for trucks and trailers is adjacent to the ramps.
Athletic Fields
Are reserved for various sports programs throughout the year. Information regarding these programs and others is available through the Parks Athletics program at 757-726-8750 or by contacting the various athletic groups that sponsor events at Gosnold’s Hope Park.
Gosnold’s Hope Park is admission free and open to the public. Park patrons enjoy walking, jogging, biking, dog-walking and a variety of other outdoor activities. Fishing is permitted from the shoreline, however, an individual license is required. The newly renovated playground and fitness area is special needs accessible and available for the enjoyment of all. The Hampton BMX Track is not a Parks organized activity. Those interested in track use or events should contact Kelly Townsend at 757-768-4629.
