Buckroe Beach Farmers Market

The Buckroe Beach Farmers Market is open each Saturday, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m., May 6 through Oct. 28, including themed market days. Vendors will be located on the grassy area surrounding the Buckroe Beach gazebo and will sell local produce, baked goods, sausage, seafood, jarred food items and more.

Teetotalers and Moonshiners, and Hampton’s Prohibition Story

The exhibit combines content from the Virginia Library’s 2017 exhibit “Teetotalers and Moonshiners: Virginia’s Prohibition Experiment” with research and artifacts from the Hampton History Museum on the local experience. "Hampton's Prohibition Story" features myriad items to tell the story, including dozens of photographs; numerous bottles, jugs and other containers; games, smoking accoutrements, beverage dispenser, signs and materials of saloon culture; service ware, promotional items and memorabilia from Point Comfort resorts, Phoebus police and fire department items, doctor bag and instruments; and moonshine still components on loan from the Museum of the Albemarle. The exhibit continues through February 4, 2024.

Kids First - Court mandated 4-hour class - Saturday

This 4 hour workshop provides information that can help parents understand what their children experience when their lives are reorganized by divorce, separation and family conflict. It will guide parents in making informed decisions about parenting plans as they transform thier relationship from couple to co-parents. (Satisfies Virginia Legislative requirements for child custody and visitation disputes)

Halloweentown: A Life-Size Boardgame @ Northampton Branch Library

The children’s area will be decorated with a fully playable Halloween-themed Candyland! Ask for the die at the front desk and enjoy the fun! Visit again when your done and earn a prize. Don't worry if you didn't win, everyone's a winner in our book!

Bluebird Gap Farm Fall Festival

Each year the City of Hampton ushers in the fall season at the Bluebird Gap Farm Festival. The festival offers a variety of children's activities, hayrides, master gardening, punkin’ chunkin’, storytelling, live entertainment, and much more. The 2023 festival will be held Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 21 and 22, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Handicap parking is available in the farm parking lot; all others may catch a quick, continuous shuttle from the Bass Pro/BJ’s Parking Lot across Pine Chapel Road, or from overflow parking at the West Hampton Community Center, 1638 Briarfield Road. Free shuttles begin at 9:30am and end with the last rider (approximately 5:15pm each day). NOTE: The farm will be closed Friday, Oct. 20, and Monday, Oct. 23, for setup and break down.

Special Olympics Young Athletes

This program allows participants to play games and activities that develop motor skills (balance, flexibility, strength, and coordination).

Special Olympics Basketball

Athletes will have the opportunity to participate in the game of basketball, learning the game and competition.

Special Olympics Pickleball

Athletes will have the opportunity to participate in individual and team play. This also opens up the door for possible competition at the local, regional, and state games.
