Supernova Ska Festival

The largest ska event in the United States is taking Fort Monroe by storm! The Supernova Ska Festival began in 2014 and this year’s festival will be the biggest yet, bringing in 36 bands from 9 different countries. This culturally rich event was recently acclaimed by the Grammy Awards as one of the top 10 indie festivals for 2023. Whether you purchase a pass for the whole weekend, a single day or a livestream pass, you don’t want to miss this rockin’ event at the Fort!

Ceramics at the Fort

CERAMICS AT THE FORT- Will you join us for Ceramics at the Fort? Come sit in and create your masterpiece during any of our open studio times. Open studio ceramics is available for kids and adults, Tuesdays through Fridays and by appointments on Saturdays. All project materials are included with purchase of your bisque. The materials include paint, firing/glaze, and stains.

After the Clock Strikes 2

After the Clock Strikes 2 offers a safe and structured environment, providing quality educational support and recreational experiences that promote physical, intellectual, and emotional development. Participants receive homework assistance, participate in fitness activities, and explore arts and culture through fun programs.

Homeschool Fitness

A time for home schooled students to come together in a social atmosphere to exercise and become physically active. Here they will learn skills and rules of sports along with basic fundamentals of fitness, recreational games and more.

Recreation Matters: Open Recreation Program

Youth and teens have the opportunity to participate in various recreational activities while socializing with friends.

Teetotalers and Moonshiners, and Hampton’s Prohibition Story

The exhibit combines content from the Virginia Library’s 2017 exhibit “Teetotalers and Moonshiners: Virginia’s Prohibition Experiment” with research and artifacts from the Hampton History Museum on the local experience. "Hampton's Prohibition Story" features myriad items to tell the story, including dozens of photographs; numerous bottles, jugs and other containers; games, smoking accoutrements, beverage dispenser, signs and materials of saloon culture; service ware, promotional items and memorabilia from Point Comfort resorts, Phoebus police and fire department items, doctor bag and instruments; and moonshine still components on loan from the Museum of the Albemarle. The exhibit continues through February 4, 2024.

Baby Bubbles Storytime @ Willow Oaks Branch Library

An hour of stories, songs and sensory play. For children ages 0-2. Guardian must attend. Registration is required. Free. There will be two sessions: 9:30 - 10:30 AM and 11:00 - 12:00 PM.

All Ages Storytime @ Northampton Branch Library

Join us for a fun-filled Preschool storytime at the branch. There will be singing and of course, reading!

LEGO Day @ Phoebus Branch Library

Come in and make your very own LEGO creations. Ages 6+ accompanied by parent or guardian. Please contact the library to register.
